Games Workshop will release three new Warhammer Age of Sigmar starter sets into retail soon.
These sets are similar to the releases from 2021, except with the updated rulebook (see "Starter Sets"). The Introductory Set is an entry level product aimed at players discovering Warhammer Age of Sigmar for the first time. This box contains five Stormcast Eternals Liberators and a horde of 20 Skaven Clanrats push-fit miniatures, so beginners can pop the miniatures off the frame and play. It also comes with a 48-page softcover rules set, scenarios, tokens, dices, and rulers as well as a Citadel Starter Brush and six paints to start decorating the miniatures: Kantor Blue, Retributor Armour, Leadbelcher, Rakarth Flesh, Khorne Red, and Steel Legion Drab.
The Starter Set is the next step up for people who may or may not have played Warhammer in the past. It contains 35 push-fit miniatures (same factions as the entry level set), split between the Stormcasts and the Skaven. The box also has a 64-page softcover handbook, which has added background information, and a set of 10 dice, a double-sided gaming mat, two range rulers and two rules reference sheets.
The Ultimate Starter Set is for experienced players looking to dive into the top levels of battle. It comes with two full forces, a double-sided gaming mat with printed objectives, 10 dice, a frame of plastic terrain, plastic range rulers, two decks of Battle Tactic cards, and two Twist decks themed to each board side. It also has a 144-page Spearhead: Fire and Jade book that has the Core rules of the game, a Spearhead Battlepack that outlines different game modes and the rules for Spearhead forces. There is also a 72-page handbook in the set that contains background information, hobby guides, and tutorials.
