James Tynion IV, with his production house Tiny Onion, has signed a 12-book deal for original graphic novels with the largest book publisher in the world, the parties announced.  The twelve OGNs will be in three series, beginning with The Most Beautiful People Who Never Loved Me, the first in a three-volume series, scheduled for release in 2028.  The story follows a magician whose revolutionary performances bring him professional success at a personal cost.

"I spend a lot of time thinking about the right home for each of my projects, and for years I’ve guarded a few of my favorites, letting the worlds cook into incredibly vibrant places that I’m desperate to introduce to comic readers," Tiny Onion Founder and CEO Tynion said in a statement accompanying the announcement.  "With Inklore, I have found the perfect partner to bring each of these new worlds to the printed page."

The publisher will be Inklore, an imprint of Random House Worlds at Penguin Random House subsidiary The Random House Publishing Group.  Inklore was formed in 2023 as a publisher for comics from Asia, webtoon collections, and light novels (see "PRH Announces Imprint”). The acquiring editors were Inklore Editorial Director Rebecca Taylor and Senior Commissioning Editor at Inklore UK Kate McHale.

Tynion has been published for years by BOOM! Studios (among others), which will become a sister company to Inklore at Random House Worlds when the Random House acquisition of BOOM! is complete (see "Random House Acquiring BOOM! Studios").
