Wizards of the Coast has shared details about the upcoming Innistrad Remastered booster set for Magic: The Gathering, releasing on January 24.
The Innistrad Remastered set features reprint versions of popular cards from all of the previous sets from the gothic horror-themed plane of Innistrad, including some Showcase cards and borderless art cards. A number of cards will also appear with “retro” frames. The full set will include 491 cards.
Innistrad Remastered will be available on both Play Booster and Collector Booster formats.
Play Boosters are intended for Limited play formats and come with 14 cards including at least one foil card and one Retro frame card, with up to four Rare or higher rarity cards, three to six Uncommon cards, six to nine Common cards, and one Land card. They will be packaged 36 boosters per display.
Collector Boosters will include rare or mythic rare cards, traditional foil cards, and special format cards not available otherwise. The first vampire of Innistrad, Edgar Markov, will be featured as a serialized card in less than one percent of Innistrad Remastered Collector Boosters. These boosters come with 15 cards, with four Rare or higher, three to six Uncommon, four to seven Common, and one Land card. Each display has 12 boosters.
