Space Cowboys' popular Splendor game gets a new expansion this month with the release of The Silk Road, hitting the streets via Asmodee on November 22.

Splendor:  The Silk Road offers a pair of expansion modules for the 2014 game of gem collecting.  Players can replace the Noble tiles with new City tiles that players compete over to gain prestige, or add the Trading Posts which award bonuses during play.  Both modules can be used on their own (with the base game) or combined with previous expansions.

The new expansion, which was designed by Splendor creator Marc Andre, includes 7 double-sided City tiles, 1 Noble tile, and 20 Trading Post tiles. It supports games with two to four players.  MSRP is $16.99.

Space Cowboys recently launched Superstore 3000 (see “Build up an Interstellar Beacon of Commerce in ‘Superstore 3000’”) and an Unlock!  set featuring stories with a supernatural bent (see “Space Cowboys to ‘Unlock!  Supernatural Adventures’”).
