Tokyopop has added $10,000 to the matching gifts being accumulated by the Book Industry Charitable Foundation as the industry responds to the fires in Los Angeles. Tokyopop’s contribution joins another $45,000 in matching gifts donated by Dog Man creator Dav Pilkey, Forefront Books, Ingram Content Group, Macmillan Publishers, and Mad Cave Studios.
Donors seeking to have their donations doubled by the match can be made at the Binc website.
“TOKYOPOP literally lives and breathes this town, and there is no one we trust more than Binc to deploy the resources to help our industry’s local shops and colleagues,” Tokyopop Founder Stu Levy said in a statement accompanying the donation.
Retailers seeking assistance can apply to Binc here.
