AllPlay has announced Sail Legacy, a new version of its two-player cooperative trick-tacking game from 2023.

In Sail, two players work together to keep their ship afloat while they deal with the dangers of the sea and the creatures within it. Each round, a player leads a card and their partner must follow suit, with the symbols on their cards determining how their ship moves and interacts with the environment, such as steering, firing cannons, or upgrading the ship and crew.

Sail Legacy uses these same core mechanics through a series of games that form a continuing campaign. As a legacy-style game, the components in the game will change over the course of the campaign. It was created by Taylor Reiner (Seers Catalog), who also contributed to Sail: Seafarers Expansion.

Details about the game, including components, release date, and MSRP have not been announced. Allplay intends to raise funds for the production of the game through a Kickstarter campaign scheduled to launch later this year.
