In this game, players assume the roles of instrument makers during the height of classical music in Western Europe. They will be tasked with managing resources to create musical instruments in their workshop all while courting actual historic patrons from this era. The game's mechanics feature a unique blend of hidden bidding and worker placement as each player builds up a personal tableau of actions and bonuses. As the game progresses, players will improve skills across multiple tracks and unlock specialized worker abilities and other bonuses as they head down one of the multiple paths to victory.
Luthier: The Art of the Instrument is for one to four players, ages 14 and up, and plays in 90 to 150 minutes. Paverson Games also signed a localization deal with Lucky Duck Games in 2024 (see "Lucky Duck Signs Paverson Games").
