Hutan is the Indonesian word for rainforest, and serves as the inspiration for this collecting and placement style game. Over nine rounds, players draft flowers that they plant on their individual player boards. Stacking matched flowers allows a player to plant trees, and filling an area with trees allows them to collect animals. The player who is best able to grow their own rainforest and attract the most animals wins the game.
{IMAGE_3}Hutan: Life in the Rainforest comes with 16 rainforest boards, 130 flower tokens, 64 stand-up trees, 16 wooden animal tokens, 94 cards, and a score pad, featuring artwork by Vincent Dutrait (Heat: Pedal to the Metal, The Lord of the Rings: Duel for Middle-earth). The game is intended for one to four players, ages eight and up, and plays in a little over half an hour. MSRP is $39.99.
