Marvel Comics will launch Imperial, a new series written by Jonathan Hickman, and release an omnibus of Hickman’s S.H.I.E.L.D. stories in the coming months.
The A cover is by Marco Checchetto, with variant covers by Skottie Young, Peach Momoko, and Alessandro Cappuccio; variant and virgin variant covers by Adi Granov; Hidden Gem Variant Cover by Jim Lee; connecting variant cover by Javier Garrón; Iconic Variant Cover by Todd Nauck; and Deathbird variant and virgin variant covers by Miguel Mercado. Marvel has released images for the A, Hidden Gem by Jim Lee, and Peach Momoko covers (see below).
Street date for the 48-page, $6.99 first issue is June 4.
Marvel will also release some older Hickman material in an omnibus of his S.H.I.E.L.D. stories with Dustin Weaver art, with Nick Pitarra, Zachary Baldus, Kevin Mellon, and Gabriel Hernandez Walta. The S.H.I.E.L.D. Direct Market version has a Weaver cover; the broad release version features a Gerlad Parel cover.
Contents are from the early 10s, and include S.H.I.E.L.D. (2010) #1-6, Director’s Cut, S.H.I.E.L.D. (2011) #1-4, S.H.I.E.L.D. by Hickman & Weaver #5-6 and S.H.I.E.L.D. Infinity.
Both versions of the 384-page hardcover omnibus will be released on October 22 at $75 MSRP.
