The first two products announced were the Warpflame Thrallbrand Battleforce and Combat Patrol: Thousand Sons.

Warpflame Thrallbrand Battleforce is a force that is led by three Exalted Sorcerers. They are accompanied by an array of marines and robots: 5 Scarab Occult Terminators, 10 Rubric Marines, and 4 brand-new Sekhetar Robots. The set also comes with a Chaos Space Marine Transfer Sheet with 364 transfers.

Combat Patrol: Thousand Sons is commanded by the Daemon Prince Zadophon the Soul Eater. He leads a force of 10 Rubric Marines, 3 Tzaangor Enlightened, and a Tzaangor Shaman. The box also contains a Chaos Space Marine Transfer Sheet with 364 transfers.

The Codex: Thousand Sons contains all the information players need about the sorcerer faction's history, units, wargear, and arcane scribblings. This 120-page book includes details on five Detachments, pictures of the miniatures, Combat Patrol rules, Crusade rules, and datasheets for every unit. It also comes in a collector's edition with unique cover art, verdigris-colored foil page edges, and a black ribbon bookmark.

Games Workshop recently released the Codex: Death Guard supplement for Warhammer 40,000 (see " Ooze into 'Warhammer 40,000'").
