Deciphers' WARS CCG, which launched last month (see 'Early WARS Interest Srong'), has come out of the gate strong, 'selling way above expectations,' according to Decipher.  According to Decipher, the company has received more reorders on WARS than on any other product (including its Lord of the Rings releases) in the last three years. 

Strong event support fueled the launch; retailers held several hundred more events than were held for the Fellowship of the Ring LOTR TCG release. 

The WARS CCG is based on the game mechanics from Decipher's version of the Star Wars CCG; there's a large base of players that are familiar with and enjoy the game play.
