Beau Smith of  IDW Publishing saw Steven Bates' latest 'I Think I Can Manage' column, titled 'Remember When' (see 'I Think I Can Manage--Remember When') and echoes the feelings expressed in it:

I just read, as I always do, Steven Bates latest column--'Remember When'.

Perfect.

It said so many things that I hope most of us still feel when it comes to comic books.  Of course I remember my own experiences in hunting down and buying comics as a kid and I know that has changed for the same younger readers that we have today.  Like Steven said, there is the internet, video games and all the other bright and moving objects that are taking time away from comics.  With the times and technology changing that's gonna happen.  I'm sure younger folks today are gonna get all nostalgic about video games and stuff that they played as a kid.  That feeling will mirror those that guys like Steven and I have for comic books.  But I'm glad Steven could relay the feelings he and so many like him had with comic books.  Passing down the history is important.

More of us should do it.

Keep it up, Steven.
