Sponsored.  Grand Archive TCG just celebrated its 2-year anniversary.  With an organized play system that spans 4 regions, an international premier event every month, and a large-scale open-access World Championships; Grand Archive has turned into a bigger success than anyone could have imagined.

With its anniversary also came the announcement of the game's seventh big expansion set, Distorted Reflections, releasing on July 25, 2025.  One based around themes fans of stories such as Alice in Wonderland may be familiar with.  Although the approach may seem friendly and whimsical, the introduction of this new set spells a handful of big plays for Grand Archive TCG.

A Champion's Return

With Grand Archive growing older, and a fanbase becoming accustomed to the IP through gameplay and lore; a fan favorite in Diana, a ranger who appeared in the game's 3rd set Alchemical Revolution (ALC), returns with a new flavor.

The new Diana sports a new magical theme and rather than using guns, a type of weapon more common in ALC's world, she now returns with a bow, a weapon more fitting of the new world she appears in.  Despite these changes, fans remain excited for the potential which shows a connection to characters; something Weebs of the Shore, the publisher of Grand Archive TCG, hopes to accomplish through more storytelling and flavor in their cards and game design.

Diana is available as a champion in the main set, but also in starter decks that launch with the new expansion.

A New Champion

Although fans are excited for the return of their favorite champions, let's also not forget the new toys.  Ciel, a champion introduced alongside Diana, is the game's new Guardian, centered around the darker themes of Umbra.

The one thing unique about Grand Archive is how the game explores card mechanics through the lens of different elemental archetypes.  The previous Guardian in Tonoris was tied to Neos, the element of creation.  Ciel comes in centered around an element known for curses and stacking marks.

While we don't fully know all of Ciel's abilities yet, he’ll be sure to be a fun twist on the Guardian class.

A Developing Company
The fun twists and turns of a new set are not the only exciting bits of Grand Archive Over the last 6 sets, the company has learned and developed the skills needed to be a successful card game and the steam doesn't stop.

With their World Championships, the announcement of many more international events, and cards that hold incredible value among collectors; the game has shown it content with the largest games in the world.
