Nine comic publishers are members of the Ad Hoc Committee of Consignors, along with game companies Paizo Inc. and Green Ronin Publishing, ICv2 has learned.  The Ad Hoc Committee was one of three groups (along with numerous individual publishers) to file objections to Diamond Comic Distributors' attempt to seize and sell the publishers' consignment inventory (see "Numerous Objections").

The Ad Hoc Committee includes Drawn & Quarterly, Fantagraphics Books, Living the Line, Zenescope Entertainment, Ablaze Publishing, Avatar Press, Hermes Press, American Mythology Productions, and Udon Entertainment in addition to the two game publishers. This explains why Drawn & Quarterly and Fantagraphics, two of the three companies that put out the word last week that they were organizing to fight the Diamond move (see "Diamond Consignment Suppliers Uniting") did not appear in the same objecting group as Dynamite Entertainment; they were in a second group of publishers.

With the 9 comic publishers in the Ad Hoc Committee, the 12 companies in the second group, and 6 companies that objected individually, there are 27 comic or comic-related publishers objecting to the Diamond motion, joining four game publishers in two groups, and Panini UK.  While this is a small percentage of the 182 consignment vendors listed in the Diamond motion (see "Diamond Seeks to Take"), they likely represent a significant portion of the consignment inventory at stake.
