The convention, once again, sold out with nearly 72,000 attendees. The attendance for this show has increased steadily over the last three years by about 1,000 attendees per year (see "Gen Con 2024 Breaks 2023 Attendance"). The convention is slowly pushing towards the edge of maximum capacity as the show has sold out the last two years consecutively. Hopefully, the currently under construction Signia hotel will help expand Gen Con's ability to accommodate more attendees in the years to come so the show can grow even further.
“With the entire Indiana Convention Center and Lucas Oil Stadium packed with global exhibitors and attendees, this year’s Gen Con generated more than $82 million in economic impact,” said Chris Gahl, Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer for Visit Indy. “This past week, we were proud to give Gen Con executives a hard-hat tour of the expanding convention center and new Signia hotel, projects giving the event continued future growth.”
Gen Con also added more exhibitors this year, bringing the total up from 540 in 2024 to 575 in 2025. This puts the number of exhibitors above the 2023 total of 570. Additionally, Gen Con raised over $40,000 for Women4Change Indiana and the Brown Toy Box Foundation this year.
