Diamond Comic distributors has announced a new set of toy exclusives from Japan, and they include figures and statues based on strong anime, manga, and videogame properties. 

 

The fourth in its series of Kaiyodo 'Monsieur Bome' figures, Halloween-Chan, will ship in April at a $13.99 MSRP.  It's about 6.5' tall, and is designed to be displayed (no articulation). 

 

The King of Fighters '97: Mai Shiranui Vinyl Statue is based on the classic videogame, and will ship in May at a $29.99 MSRP.  It's sculpted by Hironori Tokunaga and produced in 1/7 scale, standing about 9' tall. 

 

Trigun: Gazelle figure

 

Trigun:  Gazelle will ship in March at a $49.99 MSRP.  It's a 9', massively detailed action figure with 30 points of articulation from Kaiyodo.  Although based on and licensed from the Trigun mythos, this is a new character that doesn't appear in the manga or anime; it's created by Yasuhiro Nightow.  The transforming pistol can be broken down into its component parts, including a magazine full of missiles.  The figures comes with chains to attach the weapons to the figures back, and a display base with the head and shoulders of a fallen foe. 

 

Two series of Kamen Rider figures will ship in May.  The anime franchise originated in the early 70s, and these two series will be taken from different points in its history -- one from the 70s, and another from the last few years.  Each 5' figure comes packaged in an individual window box, at a $9.99 MSRP.

 

Raoh and Horse Deluxe
Action Figure Set

Based on Fist of the North Star, the Raoh and Horse Deluxe Action Figure Set will ship in February at a $65 MSRP.  The Raoh figure was sculpted by Ken Matsuura, is articulated, and comes with variant hands, weapon, cloak and helmet.  The horse was sculpted by Hiroshi Katayama and has 17 points of articulation.  The set comes with a wooden display base.
