Palisades Toys has announced the acquisition of a license to produce action figures based on the characters from the 35-year run of Sesame Street, with production scheduled to begin in 2005.  The first figure based on Sesame Street will be Super Grover, which will feature interchangeable heads for Super Grover and Grover Kent, a cloth cape and trench coat, and a phone booth.     

 

Palisades, of course, is no stranger to puppet-based action figures.  They have been making great figures based on The Muppet Show for several years (see 'Palisades' Maturing Line Has Retro Tint').
