Sorrent Inc., a global provider of wireless entertainment, has announced an agreement with VIZ Media to launch a mobile entertainment game based on Rumiko Takahashi's ultra-popular Inuyasha property.  Players will be able to use their cellular phones to play the game, which will transport them to feudal Japan where they can start out playing as either Inuyasha or Kagome as they battle evil demons and relive favorite themes from the best-selling anime and manga series.  The Inuyasha mobile game is available on every major wireless carrier in the U.S.

Buoyed by near constant exposure on the Cartoon Network's popular Adult Swim block, the Inuyasha anime series has established itself as one of the top anime properties in the U.S., while the Inuyasha graphic novels, including both the regular manga and the anime-based ani-manga, collectively have probably sold more copies in North America in the past twelve months than any other manga series.
