According to the Hollywood Reporter Courteney Cox (from the long-running Friends TV series) has joined the cast of Revolution Studio's superhero comedy Zoom, which is based on Jason Lethcoe's graphic novel Zoom's Academy for the Super Gifted.  Cox will play Marsha, the government scientist at the secret agency that operates the academy for young superheroes run by the over-the-hill superhero Captain Zoom, played by Tim Allen.  Allen is also involved in the project as a writer along with Adam Rifkin, David Berenbaum and Matt Carroll.

First optioned in 2003 (see 'Zoom's Academy Comic Optioned'), the project is finally set to start filming in July with Peter Hewitt directing.   Columbia Pictures plans to release Zoom in 2006.
