Michael Turner, who illustrated the Superman/Batman saga that introduced Kara Zor-El, will provide a variant cover for Supergirl #1, which is shipping in August. Written by Jeph Loeb with art by Ian Churchill and Norm Raymond, Supergirl #1 will ship with 75% of the covers featuring the original solicited design by Ian Churchill and 25% of the covers featuring Michael Turners new variant cover. The first issue of the new Supergirl comic series, with a cover price of $2.99, will be in the June Previews and is scheduled to go on sale on August 10th.
Also listed in the June Previews is Supergirl #0, a reprint of the nearly sold out Superman Batman #19, which featured a story by Jeph Loeb with art by Ian Churchill and Norm Raymond that effectively functioned as a launching pad for the new Supergirl series. The cover art for Supergirl #0 will consist of the figure of Kara Zor-El from the cover of Superman/Batman #19 against a white background.
