The Right Stuf, which has already released the 13-episode Gravitation TV series, is set to release the Gravitation: Lyrics of Love OVA on August 30th. The 60-minute disk contains the two Gravitation OVAs and has a suggested age rating of 16+. The anime is based on the popular shonen-ai (literally 'boy love') manga series by Maki Murakami, which has become a big hit for Tokyopop here in the States. The Gravitation OVAs, produced in 1999, actually preceded the Gravitation TV series (2000-2001).
Set in the world of J-Pop rock bands, Gravitation follows the stormy relationship of Shuichi Shindo, lead singer and lyricist for the band Bad Luck, and the love of his life, writer/novelist Eiri Yuki. Right Stuf's Gravitation: Lyrics of Love DVD, which has a suggested retail price of $29.99, includes the original Japanese soundtrack (with English subtitles) and an English language dub version as well as a special soundtrack-only audio channel lyrics track (the lyrics are an important part of the plot in Gravitation).
