Dark Horse Comics is preparing a number of Goon projects for release in October just in time for Halloween.  The key release in 'Goon Month' is the Goon: Fancy Pants hardcover, which collects the essential stories in Eric Powell's Eisner Award-winning Goon saga in a superbly designed and reasonably priced signed hardcover -- 184 pages of full color 7' x 10' comics for just $24.95.  The hardcover edition, every volume of which will be signed by Eric Powell, is a direct market exclusive and will be printed to order.  The volume collects the first two self-published issues of Goon plus the Dark Horse issues #1, #3, #5, and #9.  Extra features include a Goon cover gallery and a never-before-seen 3-page 'Buzzard' story.

Dark Horse is also planning to publish Powell's original Goon #1 in a new 25-cent edition, which will include a new story and a new painted cover by the creator -- the perfect introduction to this highly praised (EW's 'Must' List) saga of a lone thug and his fight against a never-ending onslaught of zombies, giant lizards, and killer robots.

If these two developments weren't enough Dark Horse is printing a monthly Goon comic strip, featuring an ongoing all-new Goon tale in each installment, in the Dark Horse section of Diamond's monthly Previews catalog.
