Alderac is taking its organized play and event management in house as of August 1st, moving the work from Ryan Dancey's Organized Play Corporation. Consulting firm Aileron.forward Ltd. developed the software from its home base in Greece, where it has been extensively tested by European tournament organizers for years.
Alderac President John Zinser explained why the company wanted to take the activity in house. 'We are very excited to finally unveil a program that was specifically desiged form the ground up to serve the Alderac Entertainment Group player community,' he said. 'Wholly owned and operated by AEG, this system allows us greater control of program updates and tournament software adjustments.'
Conversion to the new system, available in English, French, Spanish and German, will reset all player rankings.
Organized Play has added two new clients this year--TriKing Games (makers of Anachronism, the History Channel game), and RC2 division Joyride (makers of the Full Metal Alchemist CCG).
