ICE Kunion, a consortium of Korean manhwa publishers that is launching its first titles in the U.S. in October (see 'Korean Consortium Leads Manhwa Charge'), plans to launch four additional series in November and December. The lead release for November is The Antique Gift Shop, by Lee Eun. It tells the story of a shop where the unique antiques appear to choose their new owners and begin influencing their lives. Also due for launch in November is Chiwoo, by Park KangHo and Lee HaNa, the story of a boy whose father is a 'heavenly executioner.'
The lead launch for December is One thousand and One Nights, by Han SungHee and Jeon JinSeok, a new take on the Arabian tale. Cynical Orange, a high school romance title by Yoon JiUn, will also launch in December.
The ICE Kunion consortium is going to account for most, if not all, of the new Korean manhwa releases in the States after the existing series being published by other companies are completed (see 'Interview with ICE Kunion').
