Uberplay Entertainment, a Seattle-based board game company and The Motley Fool, Inc., a financial education and investment advice company, joined forces to create a high-stakes designer board game based on the stock market, which was released in March.
Designed by Reiner Knizia, The Motley Fool board game teaches the concept of supply and demand as the players have to pick and choose the best opportunities to buy stocks in three different categories: oil and gas, retail, and high tech. The object of the game is to earn more money than your opponents in a game environment that simulates the ever-changing flow of a real stock exchange, which is constantly buffeted by events in the economic, political, and actual environment. The Motley Fool's : Buy Low, Sell High is designed for 2-4 players ages 10 and up, and retails for $29.95.
