Damon Lindelof, co-creator and executive producer of the ABC television series, Lost, will write a new Ultimate series, Ultimate Wolverine Vs. Hulk, the first issue of which is due out in December.  Leinil Yu (Wolverine and X-Men), who recently signed an exclusive agreement with Marvel, will illustrate the new six-issue Ultimate mini-series, which echoes the classic first appearance of Wolverine in Incredible Hulk #181.

Lindelof is the latest in a growing list of creators from television, the movies and the literary world who have been enticed to try their hand at writing comics.  Not surprisingly a number of these creators, including novelists Michael Chabon (The Escapist for Dark Horse) and Brad Meltzer (Green Arrow and Identity Crisis for DC) and TV writer/producer Allan Heinberg (The Young Avengers for Marvel) have scored significant successes in the world of comics.
