Jim Schifeling of Acme Comics saw Steve Bennett's second column on comic formats (see 'Confessions of a Comic Book Guy--Resolved: Comic Books Should Be Less Expensive'), and thinks his columns are 'counterproductive:'
A person who calls comics...'the wretchedness that is the current format' and 'It's a meager, feeble, shadow of its former self,' is not someone whose insight I need.
The very concept of the modern comic book seems to be lost on Steve Bennett, I don't find it controversial, just counterproductive and I think ICv2 would be better served by running articles from a different author.
You could start with somebody that likes comics for what they are instead of what they might be.
