Board game publisher Days of Wonder has announced the upcoming release of Ticket to Ride -- The Computer Game, a CD-ROM game for Windows and Macintosh computers.  The computer version of the award-winning railroading board game will have a suggested retail price of $29.95 and will ship later this year.  It will include the original U.S. map, the European map, and a brand new Swiss map created by the game's author, Alan R. Moon, exclusively for the CD-ROM version of the game. 

In just over one year more than 50,000 players from around the world have played more than 2 million games of Ticket to Ride online, and for them the computer version of the game will include larger map graphics, new animations, better sound effects, and solitary play against new, smarter 'bots,' in addition to the addictive new 2-3 players Swiss map.  The new computer game also comes with one year's worth of free access to the Ticket to Ride Online Game.
