According to Video Business science fiction and superhero titles dominated the Top Ten TV on DVD sales list for the week ending October 9th.  The newly released Stargate SG-1: Season 8 was the top-selling title while Firefly: The Complete Series came in fourth followed by Battlestar Galactica: Season 1 and Smallville: Season 4.  While the Galactica and Smallville sets were released in September, the Firefly DVD came out in December of 2003.  Even allowing for the influence of the release of Serenity (the movie version of the Firefly saga which opened September 30th), Firefly's performance on DVD continues to impress.

Also in the list of the Top Ten TV on DVD titles was The Simpsons: Season 6 at number 8 and Alfred Hitchcock Presents: Season 1 in the tenth spot.
