IDT Entertainment has announced that it has licensed animation rights to Hellboy, based on the Mike Mignola comic published by Dark Horse, from Revolution Studios, which produced the live action feature film released last year.  IDT is planning an animated series, which it is hoping to air in late 2006 or early 2007; and a direct-to-DVD animated feature, slated for release in 2007.  Stars of the live action movie, Ron Perlman and Selma Blair, will voice act in both, according to Variety.  Mike Mignola, creator of the comic, and Guillermo del Toro, director of the film, will consult as creative producers.
