Alias Comics has announced that publisher Brett Burner has 'effectively bought out' the 'funding partners' in the company, who were responsible for 'lateness and continued mishandling of certain financial responsibilities.' Of the former partners, Burner said, 'The problem was that these individuals were acting on their own judgment, making crucial decisions irregardless of our input.'
Steps to improve the profitability of the company, including 'pruning projects that were a financial drain,' cutting production costs, and new efforts to get back on schedule are underway, according to the announcement.
