DramaQueen, L.L.C., a new Houston-based manga publisher, has announced two new manga properties for publication in early 2006, Empty Heart by Minase Masara and Lovely Sick by Shoko Ohmine.  Both titles are yaoi manga with gay themes and are rated 18+ because of some explicit content.

Yaoi titles have carved out a niche in the increasingly crowded American manga market.  Mid-size publishers such as Central Park Media (with its 'Be Beautiful' imprint) and Digital Manga have led the way, while Tokyopop, which laid the foundations for this growth of this genre in the U.S. with its shonen ai series, Fake and Gravitation, has just introduced its own yaoi imprint, BLU (see 'Tokyopop to Publish Gorgeous Carat').
