The Kung Fu Cinema Website has revealed that one of the biggest Chinese movies of 2006 has begun production with an international cast including Andy Lau (House of Flying Daggers), Fan Bing-bing (Twins Effect 2) and the Korean star Ahn Sung-Ki.  Set in China's warring states era, Battle of Wisdom, as the film is tentatively titled, is based on the 11-volume Bokko manga created by Mori Hideki, Sakemi Kenichi, and Kubota Sentaro.  The Bokko manga is available in France, but it has not yet been released in the U.S.

Japanese composer Kenji Kawai (Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence) is providing the music, while Zensh Sakamoto is director of photography.  Stephen Tung Wai (Warriors of Heaven and Earth) is directing the $16 million film's massive battle scenes.
