Scott Shannon is joining the Random House Publishing Group as Vice President, Deputy Publisher, Del Rey, Mass Market & Licensing.  He will report to Libby McGuire, Random House Senior Vice President, and Deputy Publisher.  Shannon will work closely with Betsy Mitchell, Vice President and Editor-in-Chief of Del Rey, who will report to him.

Shannon, who has been Vice President, Associate Publisher at Pocket Books, is charged with overseeing the growth of the Del Rey science fiction and fantasy lines as well as Del Rey Manga, which has been one of the fastest-growing areas in Random House's vast array of publishing endeavors.  Jennifer Osborne, Director of Licensing, will also report to Shannon.
