Geneon has announced plans to release a box set collecting all 26 episodes of the Samurai Champloo anime in July.  The set will consist of seven discs, with both English and Japanese soundtracks, a 'battlecry' promo video, and teaser trailer.  MSRP is $199.98.  The official street date is July 4th, just in time for Anime Expo.

ICv2 chose Samurai Champloo as #6 in its ICv2 Top Anime Properties of 2005 (see '2005 Year in Anime'), and despite its short length, it continues to be aired on Adult Swim, where it gets new fans every time it's shown. 

There's a solid flow of Samurai Champloo products, including the manga from Tokyopop, a new 'film manga' from Bandai (see 'Bandai Announces Samurai Champloo Film Manga'), toys from Jazwares (see 'Samurai Champloo Action Figures'), and a new PS2 game from Bandai being released this month.
