The college-meets-superpowers mini-series Freshmen received high marks in its first semester, causing Top Cow Productions to re-up for another run.

Co-creators Hugh Sterbakov and actor Seth Green (Robot Chicken, Family Guy) say the late 2006 Freshmen II will feature a new dark nemesis and romantic conflict on a scale comparable to The Empire Strikes Back.

Top Cow compiled the first series into a Freshmen trade paperback, released on April 12.
