The Anime News Service is reporting that Xebec is producing an anime series based on Nobuhiro Watsuki's Buso Renkin manga.  Watsuki is the author of the extremely popular Rurouni Kenshin manga, and Viz is about to release the first volume of his Buso Renkin (literally 'Weapon Alchemist') manga here in the States in August (see 'Viz Trumpets an Array of Titles at BEA'). 

Takao Kato (Rockman EXE.) will direct the anime version of Buso Renkin, which is scheduled to debut on Japanese TV this fall.
