McFarlane Toys has announced two multi-character boxed sets of Simpsons figures, planned for late fall release.  The Island of Dr. Hibbert (from 'Treehouse of Horror XIII'), will include Dr. Hibbert, Comic Book Guy, Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa, and Maggie in a tableau from a fan favorite episode in which the family has been turned into animals as part of a parody of Island of Dr. Moreau.  This group was originally planned as individual figures, but will now be a deluxe box set instead.

The Lard Lad set will include Lard Lad with removable donut, Homer, and a Springfield cityscape diorama.  It will recreate a scene from 'Treehouse of Horror IV,' in which Lard Lad comes to life to track down Homer after he steals Lard Lad's donut. 

These will be the third and fourth Simpsons products from McFarlane; the first was released earlier this year (see 'McFarlane Toys First Simpsons Release'), and the second is due shortly. 

McFarlane plans the first release of individual Simpsons figures for early next year.
