Neil Gaiman has told ICv2 that Paramount plans on releasing the fantasy film Stardust, adapted from Gaiman's 1997 novel and directed by Matthew Vaughn (Layer Cake), on March 9th 2007.  The film, which stars Robert De Niro, Sienna Miller, Claire Danes, Charlie Cox and Michelle Pfeiffer, was shot in England and Iceland (see 'Stardust Filming Set') .  The fantasy, adventure romance was scripted by Vaughn and Jane Goldman from Gaiman's Stardust: Being a Romance Within the Realms of Faerie published under DC's Vertigo imprint and illustrated by Charles Vess -- and its release should provide an excellent opportunity to call attention to Stardust and the rest of Gaiman's considerable oeuvre.
