Anime maven Herb Kirchhoff has informed ICv2 that the syndicated linear FUNimation TV anime block on CoLoursTV will double its airtime hours starting on September 4th, running from 8pm to midnight (ET, PT) seven nights a week. The ColoursTV channel is available on the Dish Network satellite, which, as of January of this year, had 12 million subscribers (rival Direct TV has 15 million) and has the third largest subscriber base of any cable or satellite operation (Comcast Cable leads with 21.5 million). The FUNimation block's weekday schedule will be Kodocha, Fruits Basket, Case Closed, Spiral, Galaxy Railways, YuYu Hakusho, Slayers and Negima. The weekend slate begins with Lupin movies from 8-10 followed by Baki the Grappler, Kiddy Grade, Blue Gender, and Tenchi Muyo from 10-12.
FUNimation has recently signed an exclusive representation deal with Petry Media, which will be responsible for all ad sales on the FUNimation channel, and will also sell FUNimation's online advertising inventory on a non-exclusive basis.
