Variety is reporting that Dimension Films has obtained the movie rights to the Image Comics series, O.C.T.: Occult Crimes Taskforce, which debuted in July.  Rosario Dawson (Sin City), who created and wrote the comic with David Atchison, will star in the film and also produce.  Atchison and artist Tony Shasteen will be co-producers on the film.

Dawson has recently starred in five films for Dimension, which specializes in genre films and is obviously grooming her for crime movie stardom.  She grew up a comics fan in New York City, thanks in large part to the influence of her uncle Gus Vasquez, who made his living as a comic book artist.  After acting in the movie adaptation of Frank Miller's Sin City, Ms. Dawson decided to launch her own comic and now she has a chance to manage its transition to the silver screen.
