Mel Smith, who edits the Gumby comics for Wildcard Ink has informed ICv2 that the second issue of the new Gumby comic written by Bob Burden and illustrated by Rick Geary will ship to retailers for sale on November 7th.  After the new series debuted successfully in July, the second book was delayed by an illness suffered by Bob Burden and the death of Rick Geary's mother.  The third issue in the series is now slated to be 40+ pages, and Wildcard then plans to release a trade collecting the first three issues.  Smith told ICv2 that after issue three, Wildcard is planning to cut the per-issue page count down to 22-24 pages and get the book back on schedule in 2007.

In 2007 Wildcard also plans on reissuing Art Adams' classic Gumby comics (also written by Bob Burden) that were originally published by Comico and then add a new third chapter written by Burden.

In addition Wildcard has just worked out a deal with Graphitti Designs, which will allow Graphitti Designs to create Gumby T-Shirts based on Gumby comic book art.
