Federal agents raided the home and offices of Frank Agrama, the producer of the Robotech dubbed anime series and founder of production company Harmony Gold USA.  The FBI search was related to an extensive Italian fraud and embezzlement investigation of its former Prime Minister, Silvio Berlusconi and 11 others.

The Italian investigation is looking into possible fraudulently inflated prices on mostly Paramount television and movie rights first purchased by Agrama's company and leading to large un-taxed kick-backs to executives of Berlusconi's meda empire.  The Los Angeles Times reported that in some cases Agrama's company purchased rights for around $130 million and resold them for about $315 million.
