Publishing rights to Britain's longest-running comics magazine (16 years), Comics International, have been sold to a small group of  'film, TV and comics professionals' headed by CI news editor Mike Conroy.  In addition to his long history with Comics International, Conroy is the founder of the Eagle Awards, and author of  500 Comic Book Action Heroes and 500 Comic Book Villains.

The first issue from the new publishers (#201) will go on sale in January 2007.

According to the announcement, Comics International founder Dez Skinn sold the magazine in order to spend more time on the film and TV properties he has in development.
