Pywacket Games, which specializes in family and educational games, has announced the February release of Gemlok, a new boardgame, and Cromlet, a new non-collectible card game.  Pywacket Games first came into prominence in 2005 with the release of Keesdrow, which has collected numerous awards including MENSA Select, Parent's Choice Recommended, Games 100, and Dr. Toy's Smart Play.  Pywacket Games are distributed to the hobby channel by ACD and Alliance.

In Gemlok (MSRP $19.99) 2-4 players from ages 7 up roll the dice hoping to land on a square where they can acquire a rare gemstone, but just landing on the square doesn't guarantee acquisition and other players will try and 'bump' you off and seize your bling. The action can be fast and furious in this board game that imports all the anti-social aspects of croquet and can be played in just 30-40 minutes.

Cromlet is a card game for 2-6 players ages 8 and up.  Timing is everything: cards are played and Cromlets are claimed, but players can try to foil each others moves, and six wild cards in the deck keep everybody guessing in this strategy-heavy card game that takes 30-45 minutes to play.

Pywacket Games will be demonstrating both Gemlok and Cromlet at the New York Toy Fair in February.
