Frank Miller, the leading auteur of noir comics, and producer Michael Uslan (Batman Begins) will headline a panel on the movie based on Will Eisner's The Spirit on Saturday February 24th at 3pm at this year's New York Comic Con.  Miller, who co-directed the Sin City movie based on his graphic novels, is writing and directing a film based on Eisner's stylish 1940s comic strip The Spirit (see 'Miller to Helm Spirit Movie').

Miller who brought a high contrast black and white look to his Sin City graphic novels, is the perfect choice to direct a film based on Eisner's The Spirit, which was heavily influenced by the dramatic angles and lighting Orson Welles employed in Citizen Kane.  Miller has promised a film adaptation of The Spirit that is 'faithful, but not nostalgic.'

In addition to Miller and Uslan's appearances, The New York Comic Con also announced that Diamond Comic Distributors would be celebrating the 10th anniversary of Buffy the Vampire Slayer with two events featuring actors Nicholas Brendan (Xander), Juliet Landau (Drusilla), and Bianca Lawson (Kendra).
