Variety is reporting that David DiGilio has been chosen by Dreamworks to adapt The Damned, Cullen Bunn and Brian Hurtt's graphic novel published by Oni Press. DiGilio, who scripted the short-lived Traveler series for ABC, recently had his own comic book series North Wind, which is published by Boom Studios, optioned by Davis Entertainment (see "Boom! Studio's North Wind Acquired").

Dreamworks, which acquired rights to The Damned last summer (see "Dreamworks Nabs Two Oni Titles"), recently landed the rights to another Oni Press graphic novel, The Return of King Doug (see "Ben Stiller Nabs Graphic Novel").  Oni Press currently has a slew of properties in development including Greg Rucka's Whiteout, which is slated to be released this fall and Bryan Lee O'Malley's Scott Pilgrim, which is on the fast track at Universal (see "Scott Pilgrim Casting").
