Looney Labs has shared updated information on the Cartoon Network versions of its hit card game Fluxx. Cartoon Network Fluxx will be a Target exclusive and Regular Show Fluxx will be a hobby channel exclusive, arriving in July.
The licensing arrangement was announced in March (see "Cartoon Network Games from Looney Labs"). Amber Cook, Director of Sales and Marketing for Looney Labs updated ICv2 on release information for both games.
Cartoon Network Fluxx, which contains characters from nine Cartoon Network shows including Samurai Jack, The Powerpuff Girls, Ed, Edd n Eddy, Gumball, Adventure Time, and Regular Show, will be available at Target stores in mid-August or September, depending on specific store Fall roll-out plans. The exclusive will last until Easter 2015, at which time the game will be available for wide release, including hobby.
Regular Show Fluxx will release on July 25th, and be a de-facto hobby channel exclusive. "There will be no mass market distribution," Cook said, though she clarified that it may show up on Amazon or in book stores like most of their hobby channel products. MSRP is $20.00.
