Diamond Comic Distributors has announced the third annual Halloween ComicFest event, which is slated for Saturday, October 25th, 2014 at participating comic shops where customers will find a substantial array of 19 free comic books as well as the opportunity to participate in store events such as costume contests, character appearances, and more. Now in its third year (see "Halloween ComicFest"), this event appears to be gaining some momentum.
Though it has not yet reached the level of May’s Free Comic Book Day, this year’s Halloween Comicfest will feature a very interesting lineup of free comic books including 12 full size and 7 mini-comics. Among this year’s offerings are a Scooby-Doo/Batman team-up from DC Comics, Marvel’s Secret Wars #1, Afterlife With Archie, My Little Pony, Rachel Rising, and Hero Cats.
Retailers will also be able to sell Halloween ComicFest mini-comics in bundles of 20, which customers will be able to give out to trick-or-treaters on Halloween instead of teeth-rotting, obesity-causing candy. These packs of mini-comics will be available for retailers to order from the July edition of Diamond’s Previews catalog.
Giveaways Include 19 Free Comics
