Veteran TV and movie actor Martin Donovan (Homeland, Hannibal, Inherent Vice) is joining the cast of Ant-Man in a "pivotal" role that remains, at least for the time being, under wraps. Donovan joins a cast that includes Michael Douglas, Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lily, Corey Stoll, and John Slattery (see "Evangeline Lily and Corey Stoll Join 'Ant-Man' Cast").
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Marvel Studios is keeping Donovan’s role in the dark. Peyton Reid, who took over from Edgar Wright who had developed the Ant-Man project for years (see "New Director, New Writer on 'Ant-Man'") has begun directing the film from a script by Gabriel Ferrari, Andrew Barrer, and Adam McKay.
